Leak Warning Signs
common Questions
What is a slab leak and how serious is it?
A slab leak is a pipe leak located under your concrete foundation. Because water saturates the soil beneath the slab, it can cause foundation movement and cracking if left unrepaired. It also causes significant mold risk and wasted water. Address it promptly.
How do you find leaks without tearing out walls?
We use electronic amplification equipment that ‘hears’ the high-frequency sound of pressurized water escaping a pipe. Thermal cameras show temperature differentials caused by moisture. Together these pinpoint leaks within inches.
Will you document the leak for my insurance claim?
Yes. We provide a written report with the leak location, cause, photos, and repair scope. We also note whether the damage appears sudden (covered) versus gradual (typically not covered). We can speak directly with your adjuster if needed.
How much does leak detection cost?
Leak detection starts at $149 for a standard electronic scan. The fee is credited toward repair if you proceed with us. Emergency slab leak calls may carry a diagnostic surcharge — we’ll tell you upfront.
How do I check my water metter for a leak?
Turn off all water inside and outside the home. Locate your meter (usually near the street) and watch the small triangle or dial. If it moves, water is flowing somewhere it shouldn’t. Then call us.
